It gives me immense pleasure that Centre for Museology and Conservation has successfully entered in its 11th year of existence. This is the fruit of the consistent efforts of the students. This Centre runs a unique course of its kind in the universities of Rajasthan. This course is very significant to make the museums more diverse segment of society.

Museum is an institution which collects, documents, preserves, exhibits and interprets material evidence and associated information for the public benefits. The discipline Museology has been emerged and developed after Second World War to study museums and their artefacts scientifically. In the changing world the profound change has been taken place in the realm of Museum and Museology and this type of course would be able to contribute to museum studies, to make skilled professionals to help not only museums but in conservation of our rich heritage. Centre for Museology and Conservation was established in 2006 by the support of then Hon'ble Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje ji. I also feel delighted to mention that centre has Conservation Lab which is the first of its kind in the history of the universities of Rajasthan. I welcome all the students who chose to be the part of this centre. I am sure that they will feel proud on being associated with centre.
